Today was one of those i-must-get-out-for-a-long-run days…sunny, breezy, not humid.
So I did. Good tunes moved me along.
There was a stretch, though, where the music seemed all wrong. So I forwarded a song, then another, then another. I was looking for something with some energy. I got to Richard Shindell and Northbound 35 (lyrics), and, despite it not being an upbeat song, something caused me to listen to a few notes, then a few more. There was something that lured me in.
Something felt really good about the ending lines of the chorus…healing, wholeness, acceptance: What’s beautiful is broken…grace is just the measure of a fall.
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It’s the price of living motion
What’s beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall
Love this Vicki…
Me too…love this Vicki. 🙂
@david and carol, so glad you appreciate it, too!
