About Vicki Flaherty’s deliciously abundant life

Life is abundantly delicious because…

I have a wonderful husband, Jim, who is my friend and life partner.  Our love is rock-solid and our 25+ years together is a beautiful journey.

I have parents who are role models of a loving couple.  Their love for each other, for their children, and for life is an inspiration.

I have an awesome collection of inspiring friends – flowers in the garden I call life. I really like the way they keep sprouting up around me.

I am healthy. As a recent breast cancer survivor, I don’t take that for granted.

I travel to incredible places and create lifetime memories each year with Jim. We love Europe in the summertime and have been to Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey. We love Mexico in the winter and have a special fondness for Mazunte/San Agustinillo, Oaxaca.

I have hobbies I enjoy like running, yoga, gardening, and writing. Hobby highlights include running the Marine Corps Marathon in 2008 and writing my first book in 2012, Mostly My Heart Sings.

I have a job that challenges me and invites me to grow every day…I work in IBM’s HR organization  helping our future executives be exceptional leaders.  (You can find me on LinkedIn.)

I love where I live and how I live…in Iowa where the pace is just right and the people are wonderful.

Every day is a gift that offers the opportunity for me to create joy, love, and abundance in my life.
