We long for the days of running together side-by-side. We’re going on 6 months now since Jim’s been focused on getting his fractured metatarsals to heal. It’s a bummer and he’s hungry to run. You can see it as joggers pass by.
Instead of our daily run along the river or to the park, we walk. I’ve found an up-side – I’m prone to do that! We now spend an hour a day together, moving at a pace that’s comfortable to talk. It’s a great time for us to share what’s going on, see commonalities in our work experiences, explore goals together, and sometimes to just be with each other, the shuffle of our feet like a humming song.
