So just how far is it up Oakdale Boulevard – that’s one of the roads on my usual running loop? Yesterday I found out it’s:

3 X Lynyrd Skynyrd + Sweet Home Alabama

Running the length of Oakdale between First and Twelfth Avenue at my pace is just enough time to listen to Sweet Home Alabama 3 times on my audio player! The song came on as I rounded the corner from First Avenue and brought life into my run – it felt so good I kept it going, especially since I need a good energizing song to get up the hills on the section near Kate Wickham school. What fun!
