“Peace originates with the flow of things – its heart is like the movement of the wind and waves. The Way is like the veins that circulate blood through our bodies, following the natural flow of the life force.”

So much peace in the words and the imagery! Thank-you Vicki for sharing this. Following the metaphor of the body…then perhaps if we’re not feeling the flow of that life force, it’s our own thinking that’s blocking it, and restricting the flow.
Great remark, Sunita. I came across Sensei Ueshiba through my martial arts instructor who says, “The battle is within” (no matter the problem.) If you haven’t seen The Art of Peace (oddly written by a martial artist) I do recommend it. Thanks for sharing, Vicki!!
Oh thanks for that book recommendation Maureen. It’s going on my kindle and I already found an Aikido dojo in my area that I might try a free class with. 🙂
AWESOME, Sunita! That is great news. Aikido is amazing…. and as you know, Sensei Ueshiba is the founder. Where do you live? Do try the free class, and ask about their emphasis on “internal work” as well as the physical work. If you have questions, email me and we can connect to discuss – maureenmonte@aol.com

Great point, Sunita. Indeed, when there’s a block in our flow, it likely originates inside.
