When I’m at home, I like to take 30 minutes in the morning to ground myself by sitting yoga-style on the floor in my room with candles lit and reading a daily passage from several of my inspirational books. Sometimes I’m inclined to capture my take-aways in my journal, writing and discovering what’s going on in my mind and heart. Other times I simply capture the main ideas I want to take with me into the day ahead. Above is one of those cards.
My inspiration books right now include:
- time for joy by Ruth Fishel
- Meditations from the Mat by Rolf Gates & Katrina Kenison
- My Grandfather’s Blessings by Rachel Naomi Remen
I love the sit like a rock one. It speaks to me today. xo
What a great way to re ground at the beginning of each day. I love the idea of writing your takeaways on a notecard to easily take with you and reference throughout the day– to re ground as needed.
Glad you found something that resonated with you today!
