I would not be telling the truth if I said that winter is my favorite season, or that winter solstice is my favorite solstice. I thrive in summer. I love the energy of it. Our wedding anniversary is often on the summer solstice and sometimes we are traveling and in some far away special place. Summer is love.
Winter solstice points me in that direction: facing the energy, opening to the light, honoring the love. Today we begin to move progressively closer to increased light in our days. At least the light that Mother Nature shares with us. I remind myself that other light – the light I can generate by being present and vibrantly alive – is always possible if I open to its possibility.
